This lidded jar is thrown by hand in stoneware and left unglazed on the outside, allowing the natural, plate-coloured clay to remain fully visible. The surface has a soft, matte finish, warm in tone and quietly textured, shaped entirely by the making process.
The interior is finished with a clear glaze, creating a smooth, functional surface suited to everyday storage. The contrast between the raw exterior and the glazed interior allows for contrast.
Designed to be both functional and sculptural, the jar works equally well as a container for dry goods, coffee, or pantry staples, or as a standalone object on a shelf or countertop. Its presence is calm and intentional, adding quiet weight to the space it occupies.
Each piece is made individually, with subtle variations in form and surface that reflect the hand, the kiln, and the moment it was fired.

The Nature of Handmade
Each piece is made individually, shaped and finished by hand in our workshop. From forming to final firing, it takes an average of seven days for a piece to come to life. We take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our work.
Subtle variations in form, glaze, and tone are inherent to the process and part of what gives each piece its character.
