The Alba Pasta Plate is formed from warm terracotta clay, with a glazed centre that meets an unglazed rim. The contrast between the two surfaces is deliberate: smooth and pale at the center, raw and earthen at the edge, allowing the material to remain visible and present.
The interior is finished in a soft, plate-white glaze with fine speckling that emerges naturally in the kiln. These subtle marks add depth and quiet variation, echoing sun-washed stone and the muted tones of Mediterranean landscapes.
Built using slab techniques and fired at approximately 2,200°F, the Alba Pasta Plate has a generous depth, designed to hold pasta, grains, and sauced dishes comfortably. Its raised edge frames the food while keeping the form relaxed and balanced on the table.
Each plate carries small variations in shape, tone, and surface, shaped by hand, fired once, and finished slowly. Made to be used often, and to age with time.

Each piece is made individually, shaped and finished by hand in our workshop. From forming to final firing, it takes an average of seven days for a piece to come to life. We take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our work.
